"What makes the world go round?  Love, Beauty, Power, Deception, Money, Adultery and Revenge all swoon in high heady fashion within William Congreve's The Way of the World.  Written in 1700, and highly regarded as a masterpiece of Restoration Comedy, Congreve fills his play with intrigue and witticisms that poke holes in the fabric of society and stand up for women's rights.  Join us for a fast paced evening of verbal sparring, elegant finery, music and dance while deciding for yourself how far we have come in 300 years." - Kim Weild


New York City based director Kim Weild is known for her inventive stagings, radical inclusion and theatrical explorations that weave together complex matrices of movement, sound, images and languages. She specializes in new plays, re-imagined classics, musicals and devised work that range from intimate chamber pieces to grand spectacle.  Her work is ensemble based, deeply collaborative and grounded in narrative. She has been hailed by Backstage as “A racier cousin of Ariane Mnouchkine’s…”
