Holly Hummel joined the Vassar faculty in 1981, with a M.A. in Theater and additional study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. As well as designing the costumes for departmental productions and working with student designers, Miss Hummel teaches costume design, fashion history and pattern drafting. She has a particular interest in fashion history and has established a collection of historic garments donated by Vassar Alumni, many dating back to the 19th century, the Vassar College Costume Collection in Memory of Ronni Carol Kleinman '68.
