Christopher Grabowski joined the faculty as Director of Theatre in 1994. Prior to coming to Vassar he was the Associate Artistic Director at the New York Theater Workshop. In addition to his ongoing relationship with NYTW, Christopher continues to work as a professional stage director. Credits include: New York Theater Workshop, Yale Repertory Theater, Portland Stage Company, Shakespeare/Santa Cruz, Denver Center Theater Company, Juilliard School, NYU/Tisch Graduate Acting Program, Academy for Classical Acting, Stella Adler Conservatory. He has continuing interest in staging the Greek classics, developing new plays and musicals, and exploring collaboratively generated material for the stage. Christopher has a BA in Theater Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a M.F.A. in Directing from the Yale School of Drama.
