Shona Tucker joined the faculty as the Acting Professor this August 2008. The day before she was performing at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, OR. She has been a company member of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival for three years. In addition to her ongoing relationship with OSF, Ms. Tucker is a Usual Suspect of New York Theater Workshop, The Actors Center, Lincoln Center Directors’ Lab. Credits include: Off-Broadway: The Public Theater, Circle in The Square, Playwrights Horizons, Manhattan Theatre Club, LaMAMA ETC. Other Theaters: Williamstown Theater Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Stageworks/Hudson, Arena Stage, The Acting Company, American Conservatory Theater. TV/film: Preaching to the Choir: On the One, Third Watch, New York Undercover, Law and Order, One Life to Live, Trinity. She has strong interests in taking literature from all over the world and adapting it for the stage. Ms Tucker is a Schomburg Fellow and a Fulbright Scholar. She has a BS in Speech from Northwestern University and an M.F.A. in Acting from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program.
