Kenisha Kelly received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a concentration in Fashion Design and Video Production. While attaining her degree, she also studied abroad in Florence, Italy where she focused on various fashion design and construction techniques. After receiving her BFA she worked as a costume designer for independent film and theatre.
Kenisha received her Master of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis on Costume Design and Technology from the University of Houston. During her residence in Texas, she also worked for companies such as the Houston Ballet Company and the Houston Grand Opera. Ms. Kelly also designed for both theater and dance and created costumes for a number of Houston venues, including the Miller Outdoor Theatre and the Big Range Dance Festival. Ms. Kelly presently holds the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Design here at Vassar College.
